Prestigious Atal Tinkering Laboratory to be established at School

School has been selected for the award of the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) grant-in-aid. The school will receive a grant-in-aid of Rs. 20 Lakh. This project of Central Government, NITI Aayog is established with a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators. Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in 257 schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning; physical computing etc. Such labs can be a real asset in developing curiosity and innovation amongst students.
The school applied for the establishment of the lab online in the month of July. After rigorous screening of applications all over India, a total of 595 schools were invited for the final round. The school was invited to Pune for the final presentation. Two teacher representatives, Miss Prerna Mehta and Mrs. SuchitaMalpe and two students, Mast.ShrirangElkunchwar and Mast.VatsalSahasrabuddhe of Std VII and VIII respectively gave the presentation comprising of two innovative projects along with the impact of ATL activities on school, students and teachers, utilization plan, activities that would be conducted under under ATL, etc. T.B.R.A.N.’s Mundle English Medium School is among the 257 schools all over India where the ATL’s will be established.
